Sanyo is prepping an ultra-short-throw projector, PDG-DWL2500J, which comes with stereoscopic 3D capability, and will be ready sometime in July 2010. The projector is claimed to feature the world’s shortest projection distance of 32cm only, which can project an image of 80 inches at the said distance.
The Sanyo projector comes in a compact design that measures only half the size of a standard projector. The short-throw capability makes it suitable to be used in small rooms. Even the projector is placed at 0 cm from the screen surface, it’s still able to project an image of 74 inches, and the presenter can stand in front of the image without casting a shadow on the screen.
The 3D capability of the projector is what you need, if you’ve got ready a few 3D-capable computers, Blu-ray players in your inventory. Price is not known yet but it’s expected to be exhibited at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas, USA, from June 9 to 11, 2010, where price should be announced.
