A number of TV makers have brought Skype function to their TV sets recently. Panasonic is one of them that has just jumped on the same bandwagon, having teamed up with Skype to enable their VIERA TVs to come with Skype function.
The Pansonic VIERA TVs just need you to have a wide-angle webcam that costs you $170, in order to enjoy the VOIP service directly from the Panasonic TV. The function has been activated in VIERA VT25, VT20, G25, and G20 sets and you need to have the Panasonic-branded webcam to get the Skype function going on your TV.
The Panasonic webcam also offers four unidirectional mics, video recording at HD 720p at 22fps, a wide-angle lens and audio processing to counter echo. It should be cool to have video conferencing with your loved ones over the TV.
