
The next version of Google Android OS, Android 2.2, internally codenamed as “Froyo” has several improvements over the Android 2.1. Such as the Android 2.2 has 450% of speed increase over its predecessor Android 2.1. And the latest information about the Android 2.2 is it’ll offer WiFi and USB-based tethering.
The WiFi and USB-based tethering means you’ll be able to share the Internet connection of the Android 2.2 smart phone either over WiFi or via a USB cable to your computer or device. In other words, it can work as a USB modem for your computer or other devices. Some more the Android 2.2 also allows any Android phone to be turned into a portable WiFi router that works similarly to the MiFi portable hotspot.
