The Square mobile payment system, which allows business men on the go to accept payment on the iPhone, has now declared to go live not only on the iPhone, but also on the iPad and Android devices this week.
The app will be available on Apple app stores and markets this week, which needs to work with a cube-sized card reader that plugs into the 3.5mm headphone jack of your iPhone/iPad or Android devices to let you swipe credit card. The card reader will be given away for free by the company for those who sign up.
Using the Square mobile payment system is not free, the retailers will need to incur 2.75 percent plus 15 cent surcharge per transaction, a fee that is considerably cheaper than many payment gateways or similar payment systems out there. Watch the clip below how it can be used to accept payment anywhere you go.
