Guitarists on the run now can make use of the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad as the guitar amp or effects rig system. The AmpliTube iRig is an little adapter that comes with an app that works on the Apple devices, to allow you to amplify what you play on your guitar and jam with special effects.
The AmpliTube iRig adapter allows you to plug your electric guitar into the headphone port of the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad, and the iRig also has a port for headphones which let you listen in private. The application is free, which offers guitar amp with lots of features.
With the AmpliTube iRig, you can use your iPhone or iPod Touch to combine up to three stompbox effects at the same time, as well as adding other amps and effects. The iRig also offers expansion for up to 11 stomps, 5 amps, 5 cabinets and 2 microphones in the AmpliTube iRig app custom shop.
