Rumor claims that Seagate will have a 3TB HDD on its roadmap which will likely surface sometime this year. The Seagate 3TB HDD will clam in the same Constellation ES family, which the Seagate 2TB hdd belongs to.
The Seagate 3TB HDD will have the 6Gbps SAS interface and replace the Barracuda ES. With high storage capacity, the drive is also expected to spin at 7,200 rpm to fit the enterprise class. Perhaps, Seagate would also ready a consumer version for home PC users who have more and more contents to store these days.
