NEC has updated its S series of LCD monitors with the new 52-inch S521 LCD monitor. The S521 52-inch is specially designed to be used in environments that need the LCD monitor to be on for very long hours such as airport or any public places, as well as used in offices for their meeting or video conferencing systems.
The NEC S512 LCD monitor has full HD capability, it’s equipped with ambient light sensor which adjusts itself to optimum brightness to suit the light conditions of the environment. The NEC S512 also packs the Enhanced Digital Signage Technology Suite which has more than 30 built-in features to benefit a variety of applications.
The S521 monitor is similar to other NEC S-series LCD monitors, which consumes low power and offers a number of digital connection options, along with standard analog connections to suit as many applications as possible. You can utilize various supported connectivity such as Ethernet, IR, RS-232 in/out and DDC/CI for remote monitoring and flexible control.
Two models will be available, S521 and S521-AVT and priced at $2,699 and $2,849, respectively and be available later this month. Features at a glance are as follows:

* Video wall capabilities including Individual or Group ID functions, copy settings function; TileMatrix (up to 100 displays in a 10 x 10 matrix) and TileComp technologies
* AmbiBright, which assures users constant and consistent brightness in any lighting condition with the ambient light sensor
* Built-in tuner, which allows users to stream content as high as 1080P, as well as ATSC/NTCS/Clear QAM signals (S521-AVT only or through MPD-DTi tuner card accessory)
