Everyone is making tablets. Since the iPad, we’ve seen a number of them, including Microsoft, Dell etc. And now BlackBerry is also rumored on its way making the BlackBerry tablet, which will be codenamed BlackPad. The BlackBerry tablet would likely pack an 8.9-inch screen as the rumors also said that RIM ordered the said screen from Hon Hai.
Currently, there aren’t many details except a few such as the BlackPad will be smaller and thinner than the Apple iPad. It’ll have full BlackBerry OS compatibility and functionality. Another name for the BlackBerry tablet, Cobalt, has also been mentioned by other sources. The BlackBerry tablet will most likely not surface until WES 2011.
