Sharp has announced their latest 3D touchscreen LCD display that offers industry’s highest brightness and auto switching capability between the 2D and 3D mode. The newly announced Sharp 3D touchscreen LCD does not require you to wear 3D glasses and it comes in size of 3.4-inch, with FWVGA (480x854px) resolution, 500cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
The Sharp new 3D LCD touchscreen will be best used on the Nintendo 3DS game console which was earlier announced to provide glasses-free 3D game play. But there was no information what 3D display that the Nintendo console would use.

3D will come to cellphones but they’ll be first made for flip phones as this is what Motorola has filed a patent application for. The 3D flip phones will come with a transparent lid, which will allow you to view images, videos, texts and applications in 3D as along as the lid is closed. But when the cover is open, you’ll only see regular 2D images only on the screen.
