Buffalo has announced their latest USB 3.0 external SSD, SHD-PEHU3, which allows up to 4.8 Gbps data transfer speeds and offers many advantages over hard disk drives, such as no moving parts and much higher speeds in read and write operations. The Buffalo USB 3.0 SSD is also compatible with USB 1.0 and USB 2.0, which is usable for computers that don’t have USB 3.0 ports.
The SHD-PEHU3 USB 3.0 SSD comes in glossy finish, is highly portable that measures 97 (W) x 57 (H) x 12 (D) mm and weighs a mere 66g. It’s available in a number of storage capacities including 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and comes bundled with Buffalo software that eases data backup and provides encryption to your data.
These Buffalo SSDs will be released towards end of May in Japan and priced at 282, $510 and $1,079 for the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models respectively.
