Robot sculpture made from BMW car parts

A crashed car or overly old vehicle can be extracted for its parts to build robot sculpture. This is what Bruce Gray has done by having some of the parts of a crashed 2005 BMW 645CI convertible, to build a robot sculpture as tall as he is, as shown in the picture.

This robot sculpture doesn’t have a cool technical name yet, it’s simply called “Robot Sculpture 1″, which might hint the creator would build some other robot sculptures from other crashed cars in the future and follow the running number in the name. This piece of art combines different cast aluminum parts with existing brackets and mounting holes. The original parts of the BMW were added and modified to make up the movable head, movable upper arm and an forearm of this robot.

The robot sculpture also presents a pivoting energy pulse gun with movable joystick controller. The robot has a hand that moves freely in different directions and the feet were carved out of old steel plates from train tracks. Car lovers who’re reluctant to easily let go a crashed car, can follow the way to build a robot sculpture out of it. It’s such a great way to recycle some old card parts and also good for the environment.
