Cisco has officially announced their Flip SlideHD camcorder. The SlideHD camcorder comes with the ability to shoot video at 1280×720 “HD” and it has internal storage of 16GB that allows you to record up to 4 hours of video before needing to transfer the recorded content to the PC to free up some space.
The device packs a sliding 3-inch transflective touch screen and now incorporates all the recording and playback buttons. Holding the Flip SlideHD camcorder for video recording is like how you do it with the previous Flip models. But this new device packs a headphone jack and the 3-inch display that make it friendlier for video playback after recording. And some more the display can be angled at 45 degrees while it’s sitting on a flat surface, making it best for viewing video playback.
There is a touch-sensitive strip, which you’ll see it when you’re sliding the screen, and its meant for scrolling all your videos with ease. The Slide HD camcorder is now available for a price of $280, which is the most expensive model in the Cisco’s Flip line. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth your money, you can read the review of Gizmodo, which they claim the device doesn’t make full use of its new touchscreen display.
