The iPad in your hands may feel too big, there is a need for a smaller version. A 5- to 7-inch version of the iPad, will be more convenient for you to carry around anywhere you go. According to Digitimes Research senior analyst Mingchi Kuo, a smaller version, 5 to 7-inch iPad is being developed by Apple and they plan to release it as early as the first quarter of 2011.
Kuo also said that the smaller iPad would be priced below $400 and targeted at highly-portable mobile device market, which users will focus mainly on reading and with no high demand for text input.
