There have been a number of cases of loss of confidential information caused by the loss of USB flash drive. And the data on the USB drive were usually unencrypted or weakly encrypted.
In order to prevent confidential data loss caused by loss of USB drives, business users should be more aware to choose USB flash drives that offer strong encryption for your data.
Patriot has announced their new USB flash drive, called Bolt, which lets you store your data on it with strong encryption. The data is protected using 256-bit AES encryption and a 512/2048-bit RSA engine is used to authenticate the user.
The Patriot Bolt USB flash drive supports only up to USB 2.0, which delivers read and write speeds of up to 30MB/s and 12MB/s respectively. The Bolt USB drive comes in storage capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB and is available for purchase at Patriot and authorized resellers around the world.
