We’ve seen a number of applications and the associated accessories that turn the Apple iPhone into a credit card reader. And we have one more here, Swipe It, which adds credit-card swiping capability to the iPhone or iPod Touch, and allows you to use your Apple gadgets to receive payments for your business on the go.
The Swipe It reader is the product of Macally, which lets you dock your iPhone along with a slot for swiping credit cards. The Swipe It hardware needs to work with the Simply Swipe It iPhone app, which isn’t free but costs $0.99 only.
The Swipe It Reader can work on either WiFi or 3G network and it supports most popular credit cards and payment gateways. If you need to receive payments on the go, the Swipe It will be another option to consider for your iPhone.
