Netbook or notebook users will need to bring along a portable USB monitor which could serve as a secondary display to provide an extra screen, better resolution or bigger screen size for their work. But most portable USB monitors come in sizes between 5 to 9 inches, which do not serve much of the real purpose.
But now, MEDL Technology has got a huge yet portable USB monitor, comes in size of 13 inches, which shall make it suitable for netbook or notebook users who need a bigger screen size for their work.
The 13-inch USB monitor is considered a lightweight and durable display that weighs about 2.2 lbs (0.9 kg), so you can bring it along with your netbook or notebook; have an additional screen to add more chat windows, spreadsheets as well as providing you a bigger screen size, useful for some of the complex computing and editing tasks.
The MEDL Technology’s 13-inch USB monitor is compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows. It’s set at WXGA resolution, with a built-in battery that will last up to 5 hours, and provides USB 2.0 connection to your computer. The company claims it’d also be used with game consoles such as Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 etc. Currently, it’s just a prototype, no news about its actual availability and pricing.
