The current job posting of Apple requires software manager to have LTE (Long Term Evolution) expert knowledge, could possibly hint that the iPhone 4G was to surface sometime this summer, instead of the previously said delay.
The Apple’s job posting is actually looking for “Cellular Technology Software Manager”, which requires expert knowledge of WCDMA/UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, and LTE technology. The need for higher speeds of data connectivity, the 4G or LTE is what phone makers should look into. The recent launch of the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint, would possibly push Apple to roll out its iPhone 4G as soon as possible in order to stay in the competition.
