NVIDIA has announced their 3DTV Play software technology which allows you to hook up your GeForce GPU-powered PC or notebook to a 3D TV for more comfortable and exciting game play.
The 3DTV Play technology works on HDMI 1.4 connection. Similar to other 3D technologies, you need to wear the appropriate 3D glasses (either active-shutter or passive polarized glasses) for that brand of 3D TV in order to enjoy the full 3D high-def images or video. The 3DTV Play software is able to convert in real time for any of the supported 400 game titles into 3D.
Game titles such as World of Warcraft – Wrath of the Lich King and Battlefield Bad Company, can now be played in 3D and on a smuch bigger screen i.e. your 3D TV.
The NVIDIA 3DTV play software will be available this Spring for $40. For those who’re NVIDIA 3D Vision customers will get the 3DTV play software free.
