Outdoor Shield Plus draws electronic boundary to safeguard your dogs

The piece of rock shown here is called Outdoor Shield Plus, which is a dog training or guarding device that has been developed by Invisible Fence. The rock-like gadget basically has a transmitter built in it, which is able to communicate with Invisible Fence’s computer collar that is worn around your dog’s neck.

The Outdoor Shield Plus is to be placed in your garden or yard, where it’ll create an invisible electronic border that will give the dogs a shock if they try to cross the border. The Outdoor Shield Plus is to be burried under the ground and it’ll create a shocking radius of up to 5 feet.

Well, it sounds cruel to punish your dogs with electrical shock while they try to cross the border. But think of that it’ll help keep the dog to stay away from hazardous area, which potentially saves the pet’s life. The Outdoor Shield Plus has just passed through the FCC, there is no information about its availability and pricing yet.

Interesting article. I have not seen this device mentioned anywhere else. I assume the + and – is to increase or decrease the size of the field?

Not sure why you would need to bury it? Surely it was designed as a rock so that you could just place it in the yard?
