Cisco has announced a new router, CRS-3 which has the capability to transfer huge amount of data at huge speeds of 322 terabits per second; equivalent to the ability to download 4 Billion MP3 files in about a minute or download every movie ever made in just 4 minutes or to allow the entire population of China to make video calls at the same time.
Such a super fast router is definitely not meant for home use, it’s over a million times faster than your cable modem at home. It’s meant to be used by Internet service or network providers such as AT&T.
If one of these routers to be used at any of the largest service providers of the country, it definitely helps speed up a lot the Internet speed of the country. This router would likely come in a massive body and it’ll be the best candidate to drive wireless network providers’ or ISP’s backhaul.
