Nokia filed a patent last month for a “piezoelectric kinetic energy harvester” for mobile phones. The technology simply allows mobile phones to charge themselves.
Apparently, the self-charging mobile phones need some movements to produce kinetic energy to change the cellphone. Or more appropriately, there are some crystals that need to get compressed by movements to produce electricity to charge the phone.
If you’re someone who’s always on the go, the self-charging mobile phone will definitely come in handy for you. As your daily movements will ensure the phone to always get charged to its full state.
But for those who always sit in front of the computer, who rarely move more than couple of feet away, will have problems to get the self-charging cellphone charged. If you fall in this category, you’d probably need to have a trick by strapping it to your pet, let it move around on your behalf to get phone charged.
