Most eBook readers come with a single screen only but the Astri MyID (My Internet Device) comes with two screens which allow you to carry out other tasks simultaneously while you’re reading an e-book on it.
The Astri MyID e-reader has a 5-inch e-Ink display and a 4.8-inch LCD touchscreen display. Although it packs two screens, but it still remains pocketable and as usable as other e-readers are. The 5-inch e-Ink display of the Astri MyID is meant for you to read your e-books while the LCD touchscreen even allows you to carry out other more complex tasks such as viewing a video.
The Astri e-reader runs Android OS and the LCD touchscreen of it is able to display full screen video at a respectable resolution of 800×480. It also allows you to open multiple e-books at one time, and you can use the jog wheel (located between two displays) to flip betweem those e-books. The Astri claims the the making of the prototype of MyID costs only $65 and they’re aiming to retail for about $130 to $150. Watch the clip below for more info.
