BlueBird has rolled our new PDAs, AutoID which now run the Google’s Android OS instead of the Windows Mobile 6 that their older models used to run. The new AutoID PDAs come with a 3.5-inch VGA display,a 3-megapixel camera with auto-focus, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.
The AutoID PDA also sports A-GPS, a RFID reader and a barcode scanner. These BlueBird devices have also been ruggedized making them able to handle from a drop of 1.8m high without any injury to their innards. It’s also equipped with a 4,400mAh battery, which should get it pretty long distance to run. No word on the pricing or availability.
