The Tomy Ene pocket RC car has been designed to run on juice or soda. This RC car would not be as troublesome as those battery-powered RC cars as it needs no battery replacement. When it’s run out of battery, you can simply refill the battery by using the juice or soda in your fridge.
The Tomy Ene pocket RC car has a bio-battery that is able to generate electricity from sugar in the juice or soda. The bio battery was developed by Sony, has a cell that can output 50mW of power. But there is no information on the juice consumption of this RC car. If your kids own the Tomy Ene pocket RC car, make sure you keep some juice or soda in the fridge. So they could keep playing without hitting disappointment.
RC cars that run on juice will not be cheaper in terms of running cost than those running on batteries. Some juice can be expensive. Or you can keep some lower grade soda simply for the fun of your kids. Anyway, the Tomy Ene pocket RC car is still under development, no information yet about the availability and price.
