
The very much anticipated Apple Tablet has got announced at the Apple press event now called the Apple iPad. The Apple iPad feels like a large iPhone in your hands. It comes with a screen that is 9.7 inch diagonal LED backlit glossy widescreen capacitive multi-touch display and boasts resolution of 1024 x 768 with IPS technology support.

The Apple iPad runs a custom 1GHz Apple “A4″ chip developed by the P.A. Semi team, with a battery life of 10 hours whilst browsing the web, watching a video or listening to music over WiFi and standby for a month. It’ll be available in a number of capacities which are 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It runs the iPhone OS 3.2.

There are a range of built in features which include Safari for browsing the web, email, access to iTunes for downloading music, videos and iBooks, and also access to the Apple App store where you will be able to download thousands of applications just the same as the iPhone.
Continue: The iPad has a dock connector so you can connect it to a PC or Mac. It has built-in speakers, a mic, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a SIM tray for the WiFi + 3G model.
Dimensions and weight – The iPad measures 9.56 inches tall by 7.47 inches wide by 0.5 inches thick. The WiFi model weights only 1.5 pounds while the WiFi + 3G model weights 1.6 pounds.
Availability and pricing – The WiFi only model will be shipped first in March. And three versions are a 16GB ($499), a 32GB iPad ($599) and a 64GB iPad ($699). The WiFi + 3G model will come later, is also available in three versions, which are the 16GB 3G iPad ($629), 32GB version ($729) and the 64GB version will cost $829.
