
Planex has combined a wireless router and a digital photo frame into one single device, codenamed MZK-WDPR. This is a good idea as now this Planex device is able to provide you with WiFi Internet connectivity as well as being a decorative item that presents slide shows of the photos of your sweetest moments.
The Planex MZK-WDPR offers a wireless router that provides wireless b/g/n connectivity. It’s equipped with a 3.5-inch (320 x 240) display which is where your photos play on. It can play back various multimedia formats including MP3, WMA, JPEG, BMP, MPEG-1/4, and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264. It has internal 2GB memory, two 1.5 speakers for sounds, and also connects to YouTube for videos and with a built-in FM tuner for radio. Other goodies include 2 USB 2.0 ports and FrameChannel services.
The device measures 193mm x 130mm x 119mm and weighs 450grams, it’s compatible with Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista and 7) and Mac OSX. It’s now available for a price of 24,800 Yen ($275).
