BeBook Neo e-reader

It’s another e-Book reader that has just joined the crowd. It’s the BeBook Neo e-reader, which comes with a Wacom touchscreen and WiFi connectivity only. It does not support 3G as seen on other e-Book readers.

The BeBook Neo ereader is able to present you the e-book retailers based on the location you punch on its UI. You also get to access the Wikipedia and Google applications on this e-reader, plus a sketchpad app and the Neo supports various formats including ePub, PDF (Adobe DRM / Non-DRM), TXT and various picture formats.

The BeBook Neo ereader is powered by a Freescale processor which the company claims is 2.5 times as fast as the rivals. You get 512MB on board storage, an SD card slot for expansion with support up to 16GB, 3.5 mm headphone jack and USB connectivity. The battery is quite powerful, can last up to 7,000 page turns. It’s now available for pre-order for £279.99 ($453), which the general availability expected in February 2010.
