
GefenTV has released new wireless HDMI video/audio 60GHz extender, which allows uncompressed full HD 1080p video to be transmitted wirelessly from the source to HD displays or HDTVs. The system comes in pair with a receiver and sender, features multimedia antenna technology allows the 1080p HD video signal to be sent over a maximum distance of 30 feet.
The sender and receiver units have four LEDs on the front, which are indicators for power status, pairing activity and the strength of the wireless signals. The system also supports CEC protocols, allows you to upgrade its firmware via RS232 serial port. It comes with an IR remote for turning on and off the system.
Other than HDTVs, the Gefen HDMI extender also supports DVI connection for computer monitor with resolution up to 1920×1200. The pair is now available at Gefen for a price of $1,000.
