Asus wants to introduce their DR-570 e-reader, which comes with a 6-inch OLED panel instead of the usual e-Ink display seen on most e-book readers. The Asus DR-570 e-reader will come equipped with 3G and WiFi connectivity and offer the capability of playing flash videos.
The DR-570 e-reader also offers amazingly long battery life that can last up to 122 hours on a single charge, and this is under the real world conditions with the WiFi on and videos being played on it. The Asus DR-570 e-reader is definitely a much more exciting device compared to other e-readers in the market, especially with the capabilities of playing back videos, colorful images, making it great for digital magazine publishing.
Currently, only a small image (above) is available to show how the DR-570 e-reader looks like. Asus even has plan to roll the device out by end of the year but there is no word yet on the pricing.
