At CES, Ford has announced they will produce a range of tweeting vehicles. The special tweeting vehicles allow the drivers to read their twitter messages. And you’ll be able to reply tweets as well since the tweeting cars will come equipped with voice recognition system that allows you to reply tweets with your voice.
Twitter function in a car will definitely be the major distraction to the drivers. But Ford claims the new system would increase road safety, by having safety system that would always keep the driver’s hands on the wheel. The tweeting car is Internet-connected. Besides tweeting, you’ll be able to stream music live from Panadora.
Ford will develop the technology in partnership with Microsoft. The car will come with an on-board computer that needs you to connect a mobile phone to it to provide the 3G Internet connectivity. The Ford tweeting cars will be due out in the US later this year. Composing tweets will not be possible on the first models due to safety fears.
