Skiff, another e-Book reader that is trying to share a bite with the Amazon Kindle. It’s even grabbed the title as the largest e-Book reader from the Amazon Kindle DX. With a screen size of 11.5 inches, it definitely deserves to be crowned the largest e-Book reader.
The Skiff E-book reader has a 11.5 inch touchscreen display with 1600 x 1200 resolution that makes it ideal for newspaper layout. The touchscreen display can be operated using either your finger or a stylus. The Skiff has a 4GB on-board storage, with over 3GB reserved for content and is expandable via SD card.
The Skiff has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for tunes. Contents can be loaded via the mini USB port or downloaded via WiFi. It’ll be riding on Sprint, which also offers 3G connectivity for the Skiff to download contents. Although many gadgets are sizing down, but for an e-Book reader, larger in size will be more comfortable for the users and easily presents what the traditional newspapers do.
It can be flexed and measures a mere quarter inch thick. It’ll hit Sprint’s retail stores sometime this year, while the price is still unknown.
