
Freescale has got their own-designed Smartbook tablet ready to show off at CES. The Freescale tablet is powered by a SoC (system on chip) , which is made up of a 1Ghz ARM Cortex A8 as the core and 6 other co-processors, which are FPU, DSP, image processing, HD video decoder, 2D and 3D graphics processor.
The Freescale tablet will offer two types of touch displays, resistive and capacitive, which the latter costs $30 more at manufacturing and each has a resolution of 1024×600. The Freescale tablet also comes packed with WiFi N, 3G, and GPS connectivity.
The Freescale tablet is estimated to cost between $130 and $200 and will likely retail for $199 to $249 depending on the configuration. The tablets also come with impressively long battery life, which claim to be able to run for 12 hours with WiFi and 80% brightness on the display. Android will also be one of the choices of OSes on the Freescale tablet.

Freescale also offers a docking keyboard that allows you to dock the tablet on, so you can have it to work more like a regular laptop or netbook for more efficient input.
