One thing you can be sure about LCD TV panels is they keep slicing off their thickness. Now the thinnest in the world has been crowned on the LG’s newly announced panel, which measures only 2.6 mm in thinness.

This latest ultra thin LG TV panel is 50% thinner than LG’s previous models. The screen size is 42 inch and it’s capable of delivering full HD content in 1080p (1920 x 1080). The weight of this super thin TV panel is 4kg.
It uses an ultra slim, edge lit LED backlit system. Due to the super slim body, the integrated TV tuner has to come in a separate box. The full details and pricing of this ultra thin LG panel will only be revealed at CES in January next year. So, stay tuned!
