Yotaro, a robotic baby simulator that has been developed by researchers led by Hiroki Kunimura at the University of Tsukuba in Japan. The robotic baby simulator has an interactive screen that works as its face.

The robotic baby can portray a variety of facial expressions, movements and physiological characteristics like a real baby. It reacts to the users through a sophisticated emotion-control system which indicates an accompany reaction to the user. Besides all the mentioned reactions, the robotic baby can even cry in real tears on its 2-D face.
Although this robotic baby is just the prototype of a research, it shouldn’t be a surprise that one day the Japanese would mass produce it. Some overly busy Japanese will not have “time” to bear babies, so once they get older, they will most likely need this interactive robotic baby to accompany them in life. A clip is attached below showing the robo baby in action.
