
D-Link and Boxee have showcased the Boxee Box, which allows you to stream online videos and stored digital media directly to your HDTV at home. This allows you to enjoy online videos and digital media on a much larger screen with much higher resolution.
The Boxee Box also allows you to create your own playlists, which you can then share them with your friends on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The Boxee Box is also great for academic purposes, which it can access university courses, panel discussions, academic videos, lectures, presentations and web videos.
The Boxee Box can also let you access music sites including last.fm, Pandora, shoutcast, We are Hunted and also photo sharing sites such as flickr, Picasa and Facebook. It also comes equipped with various ports including HDMI, Optical Digital Audio (S/PDIF), Composite, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, and SD card slot. The Boxee Box will be released in Q2 of 2010 for about $200.
