
Consumers love netbooks as they come cheaper in price, and highly portable that can be carried around and lets you access the Internet anywhere you go. But for the computer sellers, netbooks have brought much lower profit when compared to what desktops and laptops could do for them.
However netbooks were the only PC segment enjoy glowing this year. For Microsoft and Intel, netbooks have been a necessary evil; Microsoft managed to fend off a threat from Linux by reducing its operating system prices and to continue promoting its aging Windows XP brand.
