You do not wanna be late to work or miss your appointment when it was bad weather, such as it was snowing and your car was covered by thick snow. In this situation, you’ll have to wake up at least 20 minutes earlier, so you could scrap the snow off your car windshield.
If you rely on a regular alarm clock to wake you up, the alarm only goes off at the time you set it. But if it was bad weather for sure you’d screw up your appointment or be late to work. Therefore, you’ll need an alarm clock that can wake you up earlier when it’s bad weather.
Here comes the Smart Alarm application for the iPhone, which can track the weather and wake you up at least 20 minutes earlier if the weather was bad. The Smart Alarm monitors the weather changing overnight and alerts you depending on your settings.
Lets say, if you set it to wake you up at 7am and the weather is good, it’ll then wake you up at that time. However if the weather is bad the Smart Alarm goes off 20 minutes earlier if it rains, or even 1 hour earlier when there’s snow. The Smart Alarm makes use of the WiFi, GPS capabilities of the iPhone and the cellular network to know where you are and track the weather in the area.
