ProFORMA 3D Scanner creates 3D models using a webcam

The ProFORMA 3D Scanner is a much more simplified 3D scanning system that uses a webcam to capture an object and creates the 3D textured model from the object. ProFORMA is short for “Probabilistic Feature-based On-line Rapid Model Acquisition”, a system built by Qi Pan at the Cambridge University. And the test software will be made for both Windows and Linux platforms soon.
