If you lived in an area where bomb scares were always heard, you’d better equip your home with some bomb-proof wallpaper. The bomb-proof wallpaper is real, has been successfully developed by scientists at Berry Plastics and the US Army Corps of Engineers and they’ve named it X-Flex.
Of course, the bomb-proof wallpaper is currently meant for military use, which will be considered by armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan to re-decorate their army bases with it. The X-Flex bomb-proof paper is made from a Kevlar sheet which is held between to sheets of elastic polymer wrap.
The video below shows how a wrecking ball was used to test and hit the walls with the wallpaper. With the X-Flex on the backside, the ball could not bring the walls down. Without the wallpaper, the walls crumbled on the first hit.
