Warnlaser’s Razor series laser pointers shoot beautiful purple beam that claim to be near the UV of the sunlight spectrum. These UV laser pointers can be used to burn stuff or used in the lab to change electronic structure of some materials.

The purple beam and the near-UV capability make this laser pointer unique and it’s powered by 2 AAA batteries but manages to output 20mW of power. And the light source of this little pointer is a genuine Sony Blue-Ray diode.

It looks fun, but should be kept away from kids. As it can burn stuff and can be one of the essential tools in the Chemistry labs for altering some atomic structure. Since it outputs UV, I believe it can be used to kill some germs around, but you’ll need to apply it with care.
