Muscle computer interface plays guitar hero in the air
A gestural interface has been developed by Scott Saponas, a Phd student, at University of Washington, which allows you to control electronic devices without the need of physical touch on the devices.

This gestural interface is called Muscle computer interface, which allows your finger or hand movements in the air, without touching a device or instrument but allowing you to control or operate the device precisely. The interface can be developed for game play, such for playing Guitar Hero without needing a physical guitar controller.

The Muscle computer interface will have a couple of EMG electrodes which directly sense the electrical signals in the arms to capture finger movements that mimic the button presses. This interface should have a wide range of applications, video below shows how it’s used.
