Last year, we reviewed the AudialsOne, a software that allows you to download and record audios and videos for free from tons of Internet radio stations and online video sites respectively. And now the AudialsOne version 4 has been released, which has got many improvements as follows:
Single Interface for all – The older version of AudialsOne was split into a number of tools including RadioTracker, TuneBite, and VideoRaptor which tracks audio, removes DRM and searches and downloads videos and MP3s from online video sites like YouTube respectively. The new AudialsOne 4 makes it much simpler by combining all these functions into a single interface.
A very brief look at the new interface presented by the AudialsOne 4 – it’s now divided into six tabs on top. The first tab is the Radio, where you can have AudialsOne 4 to select from over 30,000 Internet radio stations by genre, country of origin and radio station, and start recording cool music. And those audio files can be converted into the formats of your choice to suit the devices (e.g iPod Touch and iPhone) that you intend to play the downloaded/stripped music files on.
The second tab is where the search function is, which allows you to search musics and videos by titles and your favorite artists. And the AudialsOne 4 allows you to add in plugins that add more search capabilities over music sharing and social network sites. You can get to the AudialsOne forum to get a number of available plugins contributed by the forum users. I particularly like the search function that provides superb easiness to find any musics and videos over the Internet.
The third tab leads you to where you can create your own wish list and even load others’ wishlists from the community. The forth tab is where you can record music and video from any website or website that is on your browser screen. The fifth tab is leads you to where you can tune to listen and watch Podcasts and the last is a powerful converter that allows you to convert music and video files to various formats (MP4, H.264 and you name it) that suit a variety of gadgets including iPod Touch, iPhone, Sony PSP, Samsung, Nokia, SE etc.
Music cut perfectly – The very obvious improvement is AudialsOne 4 provides much better and near perfect music cut, compared to the old AudialsOne which usually had glitches at the end of the audio file.
HD video recording capability – One great feature of AudialsOne 4 is to record HD movies and videos and save them in your desired formats. This allows you to keep copies of films rented from online movie stores. This is similar to the old days where your dad and mum simply taped those video tapes in the analogue way and now AudialOne 4 just does it in digital and much simpler way.
The AudialsOne 4 can be downloaded from AudialsOne.com. The freeware version needs no registration or activation, but those functions available in the full version are only available in the free version for limited time. To have the full version, you need the license key which costs you $60, At AudialsOne store.

sounds interesting but there’s download helper as a plugin for firefox. would this be any better?

AudialsOne is different as it’s not just a music downloader. What it does is recording from 30,000 Internet radio stations and web video sites like YouTube, and you can choose to record into your preferred formats. I absolutely love AudialsOne! I’m a loyal user of it from MP3s to Videos. The new version of this program looks very convenient from the screen shots compared to version 3 along with previous versions as well. Also, I’ll one day be honored with the use of AudialsOne 4, I hope. Your article was very insightful, and thanks for sharing it with us all.

I have a few questions. If one function malfunctions, such as Tunebite aka Converter (now), will it cause the whole program to crash or restart? I noticed with version 3, if one function malfunctioned, mostly Tunebite then the whole AudialsOne program would crash or restart.
Will it record every site I visit such as Last.fm or YouTube because at times I just want to listen to music in general or watch a video clip then whenever I pull up my AudialOne 3, it’ll be downloading the contents I viewed in my browser which a majority of time isn’t my intentions. So I have to hurry up and cancel the videos being recorded and converted. I just noticed version 3 has a bad habit of doing that on its own without you requesting it to.
That’s all the questions I have for now, maybe some more will come up later.

I would like to know if the AUDIALS ONE has a Graphic Equalizer built in. And if it doesn’t, could you recommend one for me to download. I use Windows 7 Ultimate..Thank You…
