CZC C9 netbook measures 5mm in thickness, is world’s thinnest

CZC-C9-Netbook super thin
The CZC C9 netbook is claimed to be the new world’s thinnest netbook and measures a mere 5 millimeters (or 0.2 inches) in thickness. The CZC C9 netbook is the product of the China company, Zichuang Technology.

A 5mm thickness is definitely thin enough to win the world’s thinnest netbook title. To date, we have not heard of any netbook that measures less than 1 cm in thickness. So it should deserve the title. The CZC C9 netbook is also pretty lightweight, weighs only 750 grams.

The CZC C9 is powered by an ARM11 based processor, features an 8.9 inch screen that has resolution of 1024×600 pixels. It’s also stuffed with a 1GB RAM, 8GB flash-based storage, 2 USB ports and one VGA port.

The battery of this netbook can last around 6 to 9 hours, which sounds pretty impressively long and the OS is a customized Linux. The price during launch is $220 and no info if it will get out of China.

The pictures below are not so convincing for its 5-mm claim. The 5-mm thickness was most probably measured at the thinnest point. And apparently it does get thicker further down.
