The Japanese KDDI has teamed up with Flower Robotics, working on a device called the Polaris, which consists of a cellphone and a robotic cradle. The handset is equipped with the customary chores monitors which are able to monitor the user’s daily life activities.
The robotic cradle is meant for charging the handset and also providing analysis to the data collected by the handset to improve the user’s lifestyle. The cradle automatically opens when the handset gets close to it, when the handset is placed within it, it closes automatically.

The handset can also be used as a TV remote control and whereas the cradle displays the data gathered from the handset. The video below shows the Polaris in action.
