Sony has unveiled their latest laptop, VAIOX to the VAIO family at IFA 2009. The VAIOX laptop is pretty thin, measures only half a inch in thickness and it’s got a screen size measures 11.1 inch, so you can imagine that it’s just slightly bigger than a 10-inch netbook.
Unfortunately, no official full specs have been announced at the moment. But I believe it would be more powerful than any Atom-powered netbook and with its compact size, should make it as portable as a netbook is. Sony also claims that the VAIO X laptop is set to further push the battery life limit amongst laptop.

There is no indication if this VAIO X laptop is to pack an Atom processor. According to Sony the choice of an Atom processors is far from decided and is only on display to run the prototype at IFA. The visual inspection of Engadget reveals that the laptop shall pack a pair of USB jacks, SD/Memory Stick Slot, WWAN SIM slot, folding feet at the base and has only one video output option – VGA. Official specs will be announced in October.
