Lenovo Q700 HTPC comes in the size of a nettop PC but has been dubbed as the “fit anywhere” computer. Perhaps, in Lenovo’s mind, this pc is meant to be slotted in between any “gaps” available in your home.
The Q700 HTPC comes with pretty impressive specifications. Despite the size, it’s packed with what a HTPC is supposed to have, including an Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 processor, 4GB RAM, 640GB hard drive, integrated X4500 graphics card and a DVD burner.
This Lenovo Q700 HTPC also comes with built-in TV tuner, allows the user to tune to TV signals and output it on HD displays, which it’s also equipped with HDMI port. This Q700 HTPC is now available for a price of $500.

Yeah – looks really interesting and might be a decent competitor to the MacMini. Problem is, is that proc fast enough to decode 1080p .264 video? I’ve become very tempted lately and a bit torn between getting a Popcornhour C-200 or a MacMini and just keep using Plex. Something like this might introduce more confusion for me.

Does this have audio dig out? I’m looking for a dedicated music server using an external DAC. S/PDIF?
