Whether you’re a marathon gamer or you have to be focused on the computer screen for long session, it’s recommended that you blink your eyes every few seconds in order to protect your eyesight.
But most of us, especially when working on something that needs your full concentration will normally not blink the eyes. And this is not good, eventually your eyes will get too strained and you may lose your eyesight one day.
Japan’s Masunaga Optical Manufacturing has found a way to help protect the eyesights of computer users. They’ve created the Wink glasses which force the wearer to blink every 5 seconds. The Wink glasses are equipped with a sensor which detects how long you have gone without blinking and if the time passes the 5-second mark, it’ll automatically fog up the glass panel to block your eyesight until you blink again.
The Wink glasses will hold eight-hour charge and it can be hooked up to the USB port as an alternative power source. Slated to hit Japan market on August 10th for 15,750 yen ($150).
