Laptops usually lack the power that a desktop has. But MainGear Computers claim they have got the world’s most powerful gaming notebook, eX-L 18, which could possibly be a replacement for desktop and powerful enough for most high-res 3D gaming and high-def contents.
The MainGear eX-L 18 laptop features a 18.4-inch screen with a 1,920 x 1,080. And internally it has dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M graphics processing units with NVIDIA SLI technology, which has no problem at all to cope with brilliant 3D graphics in games and 1080p HD resolution. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs are also the fastest notebook GPU ever.
The eX-L 18 netbook is powered by an undisclosed Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme processo, has been given sufficient space for future expansion. It can hold up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and slotted with up to three 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSD drives configurable in RAID formations. The the eX-L 18 is also equipped with ports including HDMI, USB 2.0, eSATA, allowing the user to use it just like a desktop without compromise.
Other features include a 3 megapixel video cam provides high-def video conferencing, a full-sized keyboard with a number pad, and programmable gaming buttons. With all the super power, it will definitely come with a rather expensive price tag, costs $2,999 as the base price.
