Some leaked images and rumors suggest that Nikon are having two DSLRS, D3000 and D300S on the way. The D3000 is claimed to be the cut-down version of the Nikon 5000, whereas the D300S is supposed to be an update of the D300.
The D3000, the scaled-down version of the Nikon D5000, does not come with the swivel LCD screen, microphone and HDMI port. The D300S is the update of the D300, a model that was launched 2 years ago (2007). The additional feature on the new D300S could be the 720p video recording capability and also SD card storage option. Currently, all these are based on the leaked images and some info. Hope the official will be announced soon.
