AVerMedia has announced their AVerTVHD Duet Dual TV Tuner in North America. This dual TV tuner supports Windows 7 and is able to receive over-the-air HD Digital TV signals (ATSC) or unencrypted digital cable (ClearQAM) or record the two programs simultanoeosly or you can be watching one and recording the other program.
The AVerTVHD TV tuner comes in the form of a PCI-e card which you just need to slot it into any of the available PCI express slots of your motherboard, and your computer will then be able to tune into the two mentioned digital TV signals.
The AVerTVHD TV tuner comes with the Picture-in-Picture feature, which lets you watch TV on a smaller window while at the same time carrying out other tasks on your computer. There is a transparent mode also which lets you see through to view the entire desktop at the same time.
This TV tuner costs $90, also comes included with the AVer’s MediaCenter application which allows PCR’s features including pausing, rewinding and recording live TV as well as program schedule and time shift capabilities.
